Geek Bar Pulse X: Comprehensive Review of the Disposable Vape

Geek Bar Pulse X: Comprehensive Review of the Disposable Vape

The disposable vape space is a crowded field of identical sticks, each promising the same long-lasting performance and great flavor. Cynicism is natural. Therefore, when I first read about the Pulse X specs I was skeptical. 25,000 puffs? A screen? VPU? It seemed excessive for something you were ultimately intended to discard.

After a week of using the Pulse X exclusively, however, I am not simply impressed; I believe the Pulse X will represent a new direction for disposable vaping. This is not simply another e-cig; this is a finely engineered pocket device that combines convenience and performance.

First Impressions: The Sense of Quality

You are able to feel the quality of the Pulse X from the minute you pick it up. It is solid, unlike the light weight, hollow feel of so many disposables, the Pulse X has a nice weight and is covered in a stylish, colorful, shell. The 3D curved screen is not a gimmick; it is incorporated into the body of the device and feels like a premium smartphone, rather than a vape. The Pulse X is comfortable to hold in your hand and the curved sides make it easy to carry in your pocket.

The Brain and The Brawn: Unraveling the Jargon

This is the pulse of the product. All you have to do is double tap the device to switch from "Regular" to "Pulse" mode. The screen will come to life, displaying a dynamic power meter. Pulse mode is an incredible advantage over regular mode. In Pulse mode, you will notice a more intense, warmer and richer hit. It is the difference between a casual sip of vapor and a big gulp of vapor. I was using the Pulse mode for the intentional, satisfying hits and the Regular mode for the longer, more casual hits. The screen also shows you your e-liquid level and your remaining battery life, taking the guesswork out of using other disposables.

The Specs That Matter: Battery & E-Liquid

  • A 700mAh battery in a disposable vape is unheard of. For me, it gave me nearly two full days of moderate use on a single charge. Having the ability to charge via USB-C is a nod to modern convenience. You can use the same cable that you charge your phone and laptop with to charge your vape. Quick charging capability is real; a 15 minute charge during my morning coffee was usually sufficient to keep me going throughout the day.
  • The 18ml of liquid is the gas tank for the high number of puffs. Paired with the 50mg nicotine salt, the hit is incredibly smooth and strong. There is no harshness and a quick and satisfying delivery of nicotine. The Dual Mesh Coil is the quiet hero of the liquid. It is the reason the flavor stays consistently rich and clean from the first puff to the last (yes, the very last) and does not taste burnt.
  • Although calling it a "VPU" (Vapor Processing Unit) seems a little heavy-handed with the marketing, essentially it is a smart chip that controls the power output. You can feel it working. The hit is consistent from a full battery to the last bar. Combining it with the low battery and overcharge protection gives you a genuine sense of trust in the safety and longevity of the device, which I have never felt with a disposable before.

Living with the Geek Bar Pulse X: A User's Diary

My usual disposable would begin to decline after a couple of days, the flavor would fade and the battery life would constantly worry me. The Pulse X experience was unique.

  • Day 1: I unboxed it, charged it fully via USB-C (about an hour) and took the first hit in Regular mode. I was impressed by how smooth and flavorful the hit was. When I switched to Pulse mode for the first time I was amazed by how much more intense the flavor of the Meta Moon flavor was compared to Regular mode.
  • Day 3: The Pulse X had been my all-day companion. The battery life indicator showed only one bar left, however the performance had not declined. The e-liquid level indicator accurately reflected approximately half full. After a 20 minute charge during work, it was back to 80% full.
  • Day 6: It was still performing perfectly. The flavor was consistent with the quality of the Dual Mesh Coil and I never experienced a dry hit.
  • More Than 7 Days: The device eventually ran out of e-liquid before the battery died. Based on my usage (switching between Pulse and Regular modes) I felt confident in the accuracy of the 25,000 puff count, far exceeding any standard disposable I've ever used.

The Inescapable Issue: Environmental Concerns

Ultimately, we need to talk about the elephant in the room. A device as technologically advanced as the Pulse X, with a battery and processor, feels almost too good to throw away. It highlights the increasing environmental concern of the disposable market. While Geek Bar has produced an amazing product, the entire industry needs to push forward to develop sustainable, uniform recycling methods for products of this complexity. The only drawback of being a user of the Pulse X is the guilt of throwing away a well-designed piece of technology.

Conclusion

The Geek Bar Pulse X is not for every vaper. If you are a casual vaper that purchases a device once a month, it may be more than what you need. However, if you want the most in terms of disposable vaping (in terms of performance, flavor, and technology) it is a league unto itself.

The Geek Bar Pulse X has taken the best qualities from refillable pod systems (battery life, customizable power, informative display) and combined them into a disposable vaping product that has zero maintenance and is all in one. It is a premium, powerful, and highly satisfying experience that has forever changed my expectations of what a disposable vape can be.

  • Pros: Unparalleled flavor consistency, Pulse mode is innovative, exceptional battery life with USB-C, accurate juice/battery indicators, premium feel.
  • Cons: More expensive than others in the market, the advanced tech makes the disposable nature of the Pulse X seem even more wasteful.

The Geek Bar Pulse X is not merely the best disposable vape available; it is a vision of what disposable vaping could be.
