Geek Bar Pulse Vape Review: A High-Tech Marvel in Your Pocket

Geek Bar Pulse Vape Review: A High-Tech Marvel in Your Pocket

When the Geek Bar Pulse hit the streets at the end of 2023, it changed the whole definition of a disposable vape. The Geek Bar Pulse is a nicotine delivery product but also a full-fledged gadget. It has a color screen, two different operating modes (standard and advanced) and features an upscale feel that rivals some high-end rechargeable devices.

For several weeks, I have been using my Geek Bar Pulse as a way to put its 15,000 puff claim to the test. With this device delivering both great performance, and easy-to-use technology, it has set the standard for all future disposables.

Product Intro and Specs

Geek Bar Pulse is a high-capacity disposable vape product offered by Geekvape, one of the leading names in the vape industry. It comes with a rechargeable battery, already filled with e-juice, and is ready to vape out of the box. As its primary component, Geek Bar Pulse includes a dual-core processor and a dual mesh coil configuration, a new feature never before used on a disposable vape.

Below are the Geek Bar Pulse specs:

  • E-liquid Capacity: 16.0 ml
  • Battery: 650 mAh Rechargeable
  • Puff Count: 15,000 puffs in Standard Mode / 7,500 puffs in Pulse Mode
  • Nicotine Strength: 5% / 50 mg
  • Charging: USB-C Port
  • Dimensions: 52.6mm x 22.7mm x 82.6mm

Size, Look, and Feel

Geek Bar Pulse is a somewhat boxy "space capsule" style device. It's relatively large, however, it fits nicely in the hand. Although it weighs 82 grams, that weight adds to the overall sense of durability and quality. Geek Bar Pulse' plastic construction is heavy-duty and resists scratching when carried daily.

Each of the 100+ flavors available through the Geek Bar Pulse has its own specific colors and graphics of planets. The standout element of Geek Bar Pulse is the world's first full-color screen display on a disposable vape. It's bright, sharp and serves as the central control panel for the device. The mouthpiece is covered in a soft, bite-friendly silicone. The silicone coating makes Geek Bar Pulse extremely easy to vape, and it also prevents the mouthpiece from getting cold. Additionally, it doesn't have the cheap feel that hard plastic alternatives do.

How to Turn On/Off & Basic Operations and Functions

One of the most intelligent parts of the Pulse’s design is how simple it is to use — no buttons required!

  • On/Off & Mode Control: There is a very small switch located at the bottom of the device that controls every single thing about the Pulse.
    • Switch to “Regular”: This turns on the 10w mode for a standard vape.
    • Switch to “Pulse”: This will turn on the 20w mode for a larger amount of vapor and flavor.
    • Switch to “Closed” : This serves as both the off switch and also a child lock – which is extremely uncommon and beneficial for a disposable vape product.
  • Airflow: The airflow is directly linked to the mode switch. When the Pulse Mode is activated, there are three airholes open, allowing for a more loose vape draw. In regular mode, one of the three airflow holes is closed and allows for a much tighter and more traditional mouth-to-lung vape experience.
  • Use: To use the Pulse simply set your desired mode and then draw from the mouthpiece. The Pulse is fully draw-activated.
  • Screen: The screen is a large full-screen display and is the central focal point of the device. The screen will illuminate as soon as you pull on the mouthpiece and show you:
    • Dynamic Space-Themed Animation: (Rocket Ship in Pulse Mode)
    • Battery Level Indicator: Displays a clear battery life reading.
    • Liquid Level Indicator: Display the e-liquids level so you’re always aware.

How Does It Hit?

This is where the Pulse's dual mode really comes into play - giving you two different experiences with one vape.

  • Standard Mode (10w) - Using the Pulse in Standard Mode will give you a smooth, cool and efficient draw. While the amount of vapor produced is sufficient, the vapor will not be overwhelming as you would find on most other standard pod systems. Perfect for all day, long term vaping and what allows you to get your desired higher puff count.
  • Pulse Mode (20w) - Switching the Pulse to Pulse Mode creates an entirely new vaping experience. The vapor will become warmer, thicker and much more full flavored. Geek Bar claims that their Pulse Mode gives you a "200% up" in performance over Standard Mode. I have found a huge difference in the overall feel of the vapor when using Pulse Mode verses Standard Mode - the vapor is simply a richer, more intense experience.

The dual mesh coils are designed to alternate heating. To maximize performance and prevent one of the coils from burning out prematurely, it is recommended to switch back and forth between Standard and Pulse Modes at some point. If you only run in Pulse Mode continuously, you will burn through the flavor much quicker than if you were running in both modes.

What Are the Best Flavors?

Geek Bar Pulse offers a wide variety of flavors, including over 140. Due to the sheer number of choices, decision fatigue is a concern. The following are the most popular, tested extensively, and agreed upon by major reviewers as the top choices:

  • Fcuking Fab: This is one of the most popular products among the consumers and is a very complex mixture of tropical and fruit flavors. It is vibrant, sweet, and extremely difficult to put into words — it's something you will need to try for yourself.
  • Watermelon Ice & Blue Razz Ice: Both of these flavors represent a great combination of the sweet, authentic fruit flavor and a cool, refreshing icy aftertaste. They both are among the best representations of a sweet and cool ice flavor on the market today.
  • Sour Apple Ice: If you enjoy a tangy flavor or "kick", this flavor provides a nice balance between the crisp, green apple flavor and the cooling effect of a menthol exhale.
  • Miami Mint: This is a simple yet effective mint flavor. There is no added sweetness and it has a very intense cooling effect that is both refreshing and cleanses your palate.
  • Dragon Melon: This is a very unique and sophisticated flavor profile created with a blend of dragon fruit and honeydew. It is a fruit flavor that is neither overly sweet nor cloyingly candy-like as some of the other products available.
  • For the Dessert Enthusiast: The new Halloween Edition flavors such as Haunted Blueberry and Spooky Vanilla are two examples of more advanced and bakery inspired flavor profiles.

Battery Life & Charging

The 650mAh battery is quite large for a device of its size. Moderate vapers will typically be able to get a full day of use in standard mode. However, as Pulse Mode requires twice as much power to operate (i.e. 20 watts), the battery will drain noticeably faster.

A nice feature is the ability to recharge the device via USB-C. Recharging the battery from empty to full takes approximately 40-55 minutes. During the recharge process, the display screen will activate and show you the battery percentage as it refills, so you always know the state of the battery. One note of caution: Geek Bar Pulse does not allow pass-through charging, which means you cannot vape while the device is connected to a charger.

What Do the LED Light Colors Mean?

The full-color screen is more than just a puff counter, it is a comprehensive status display. Here is how to interpret it:

  • Top Bar (Lightning Bolt Icon): This indicates your current battery level. There are five sections that represent your battery level. If the battery is low or depleted, it is time to recharge.
  • Center Icon: This icon represents your active mode. If the center icon is blank, it is Standard Mode. If the center icon is a rocket ship, it is Pulse Mode.
  • Bottom Bar (Droplet Icon): This is your remaining e-juice level indicator. The five sections indicate an approximate measure of how much e-juice is left.

Note: The e-juice level meter is an approximation. It is not uncommon for the device to show "0" e-juice remaining, yet still produce a few more hits of vapor before the actual e-juice is depleted. The true test of whether the device is empty is a sudden decrease in vapor production and a burning taste, not just the empty display meter.

Conclusion

The Geek Bar Pulse has earned its legendary status. Even in 2026, it is still a viable option because it got the basics correct from the start.

If you're looking for a disposable vape with more features, better control and superior flavor consistency than your average "puff-and-toss" options, the Geek Bar Pulse is still a strong contender. Overall, Geek Bar Pulse is a complete and refined package that delivers on all of its promises.
