There is no doubt that Crystal Bars hold the top spot in the disposable vape market due to their reliability, a high puff count, and an extremely large variety of flavors. Since there are such a wide variety of options available in this category, I decided to take some time to do my research so I can give you my honest review of each one of these Crystal Bars flavor options. This review is not simply a listing of Crystal Bar flavors - it is a taste adventure.
Here are my rankings of Crystal Bars' Disposable Vape Flavors from 1st through 10th:
10. Blueberry Sour Raspberry
The objective take on this flavor is a classic "berry mix" flavor profile, offering a tangy, fruity combination that combines the sweetness of blueberry and the sourness of raspberry.
My subjective take is that this is a reliable, enjoyable flavor, but it has no "wow" factor compared to other Crystal Bar flavors on the list. The sour note is present, but it is a gentle tartness on the exhale instead of a face puckering sensation. I would happily vape this flavor and not complain, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to vape it either. Overall, I rate this flavor a 7/10.
9. Strawberry Ice
The objective take on this flavor is the most popular vape flavor in existence, featuring sweet, candied strawberry and a cool menthol finish ("ice").
My subjective take is that this flavor is essentially the vanilla ice cream of the vape world. You know what you’re going to get and Crystal Bar executes it well. The strawberry flavor is genuine and doesn’t taste like medicine and the ice is cool without being overbearing. As a result, it’s a great starting point for people who are new to vaping, but as a seasoned vaper, it can start to feel a little one dimensional. I rate this flavor a 7.5/10.
8. Cotton Candy
The objective take on this flavor is a true representation of the pink and blue spun sugar from a carnival.
My subjective take is that this is a wild ride. In the first 10 puffs, you’ll be in complete bliss with how sweet and accurate the cotton candy flavor is. However, the sweetness can quickly become overpowering. It’s a flavor that I love to vape for a couple of hours and then I’m ready to move on to another flavor. At best, it’s a great dessert vape, but it’s not something that I could vape all day. I rate this flavor a 8/10 for how accurately it represents cotton candy and 6/10 for how long I can vape it before needing to switch flavors.
7. Mango Peach
The objective take on this flavor is a tropical duo of mango and peach, featuring the rich, creamy sweetness of mango paired with the juicy and floral sweetness of peach.
My subjective take is that this flavor is essentially sunshine in a vape. The mango and peach flavors are perfectly complementary and create a nice, complex flavor profile. The mango isn’t overly dominant and the peach provides a bright, high note to the flavor. It’s extremely smooth and does not leave behind any unpleasant aftertastes. The only reason that it didn’t place higher on the list is that the individual flavors aren’t as defined and sharp as my favorite flavors. I rate this flavor a 8.5/10.
6. Lemon & Lime
The objective take on this flavor is a crisp, zesty citrus flavor that is meant to provide a clean, refreshing hit.
My subjective take is that this flavor is essentially the palate cleanser of the Crystal Bar line. After a full day of vaping sweet berries and creamy desserts, Lemon & Lime is a welcome breath of fresh air. It’s tangy, slightly sour, and incredibly realistic. It tastes like a high-end lemon/lime soda without the carbonation. The ice component of the flavor is perfectly balanced, making it one of the most refreshing vapes that I have ever tried. Not everyone may enjoy this flavor due to its lack of sweetness, but for those who prefer a crisp, non-sweet vape, it’s a savior. I rate this flavor a 9/10 for its ability to refresh.
5. Blue Razz Lemonade
The objective take on this flavor is a colorful rendition of a beloved, electric blue beverage. The sour blue raspberry flavor is combined with the sweet and sour lemonade flavor.
My subjective take is that this flavor is simply fun. It’s vibrant, bold, and perfectly balanced. The first hit of this flavor is primarily sweet blue razz, but the exhale introduces a tangy, authentic lemonade flavor. It’s like vaping a summer festival. I enjoy this flavor so much that I rarely grow tired of it. As a result, it’s a great option for vapers with a sweet tooth. I rate this flavor a 9/10.
4. Grape
The objective take on this flavor is a simple, powerful grape flavor.
My subjective take is that don’t let its simplicity fool you. Crystal Bar’s Grape is a masterclass in single-note flavor profiles. This is not a delicate, wine-like grape flavor; this is the bold, candied "purple drink" grape of your youth. It’s a flavorful and strong grape flavor that remains consistent from the first puff to the last. Its simplicity helps prevent it from becoming dull. If you want a pure, unadulterated fruit blast, it’s hard to beat this flavor. I rate this flavor a 9/10 for both its power and for the nostalgia it evokes.
3. Watermelon
The objective take on this flavor is the taste of a fresh, ripe, cold watermelon.
My subjective take is that this was a revelation for me. Most watermelon vapes taste like candy or gum, but Crystal Bar’s Watermelon is an accurate representation of a fresh, ripe, cold watermelon. It captures the essence of a watermelon with an almost watery, juice quality that is extremely pleasing. It’s sweet, but not sickening, and the cooling finish gives the illusion of hydrating with a slice of the actual thing on a hot day. It’s an expertly crafted, advanced fruit flavor. I rate this flavor a 9.5/10.
2. Pink Lemonade
The objective take on this flavor is a sweeter and more fruit-forward variation of traditional lemonade, often with strawberry or raspberry notes added.
My subjective take is that this is the ultimate all-day vape for me. It takes everything that I enjoyed about Lemon & Lime and Blue Razz Lemonade and puts them together flawlessly. You get the crisp, refreshing base of lemonade, but the berry flavor softens and sweetens the lemonade. The flavor is perfectly balanced. It’s tangy, sweet, fruity, and icy all at once. I’ve never gotten tired of this flavor, and it’s the flavor that I always recommend when someone asks for one flavor that cannot be wrong. I rate this flavor a 9.5/10.
1. Kiwi Passion Fruit Guava
The objective take on this flavor is a complex tropical medley of the tart kiwi and tangy passion fruit flavors, along with the sweet, creamy guava flavor.
My subjective take is that this is not a flavor, it’s an experience. The moment you try it, you realize why it’s so highly rated. The flavor complexity is unmatched. You get an immediate sharp, biting taste from the kiwi and passion fruit, and then you transition into a smooth, creamy finish from the guava. It’s a roller coaster for your taste buds that never becomes overwhelming. It’s exotic, perfectly sweet, and completely unique. While Pink Lemonade is my reliable daily driver, Kiwi Passion Fruit Guava is the flavor that makes me pause and exclaim “Wow, that’s amazing.” Due to the sheer artistry and taste alone, it’s deserving of the number one spot. I rate this flavor a 10/10.
Final Puff
Crystal Bars' taste is an extremely subjective experience. While you may love the traditional Strawberry Ice, or have a sweet escape with Cotton Candy, I believe that after all my research (which may be slightly disturbing), the Kiwi Passion Fruit Guava is the best bar Crystal has to offer; and while it does have two great secondary bars in Pink Lemonade and Watermelon.
