I have grown fond of The Stiiizy Pro Battery because it is such an effective, sleek and powerful unit which provides power to one of the most widely used pod devices in the industry. Like the iPhone of the world of cannabis vaping – The Stiiizy Pro is very simple and easy to use as well as reliable and enjoyable to vape with when it does work properly. However, just like any type of technology, the Stiiizy Pro also comes with some flaws.

Over the past few years, I have owned many different versions of the Stiiizy Battery, including the classic, the Biig and currently the Pro. In addition, I have had the experience of both enjoying a great tasting, perfect vape hit, as well as experiencing the complete opposite – when my new pod appears to be dead, with the brand new Stiiizy Pro battery sitting right next to it. Thus, this post is based upon my experience with the Stiiizy Pro.
How To Make Use Of Your Stiiizy Pro Battery Like A Pro
Stiiizy Pro is quite easy-looking. Below is how to become proficient from Day 1.
1. Unboxing & First Impression
When you hold the Stiiizy Pro for the very first time, you'll note it weighs a little bit more and has a more premium, matte finish as opposed to the previous version. It doesn't feel like a cheap disposable pen; it feels like a tool. My first Stiiizy Pro was the standard black, and it just feels right in your hand.
2. The Charge Ritual
- The Cable: Stiiizy Pro utilizes a proprietary magnetic USB cable to charge. Don't lose this. There's no other way to replace this type of connector. I carry an extra charger with me everywhere I go -- one at my office, and another in my car.
- The Connection: The magnetic end attaches to the two gold connectors located at the bottom of the battery. When you see a solid red light it is charging. When you see the red light turn green, then it is totally charged.
I always perform a complete initial charge before I start using it. The Stiiizy Pro's battery life will be extended if you perform an initial charge, as well as allowing the battery to stay above 50% capacity. I do my best to prevent letting it drop below 50%, as this will cause degradation.
3. The Best Way to Hit
Simply place the pod on the battery, and it will lock in due to the magnetism. Stiiizy Pro features a viewing window on the top of the device, so you can clearly view how much oil is remaining prior to having to remove the pod from the battery.
The Stiiizy Pro is a draw activated vaporizer. That means you simply inhale from the mouthpiece, and it fires when you do. Do not inhale as if you are creating a vacuum. A gentle 3-5 second pull is all you need to produce a massive and delicious cloud of vapor. I prefer to start with a gentle pull and gradually increase my pull as needed to achieve the best flavor possible from the beginning to the end of each hit.
4. Understanding the Lights
The LED light located on the front of the device is essentially a communication tool for you to understand what is happening with the device.
- White Light While Inhaling: The battery is functioning properly, and you are receiving a signal.
- Flash White (Three Times): There are generally three reasons why you would see flashing white lights: 1. The battery is dead, and you must recharge it, 2. The pod is not making a proper connection with the battery, or 3. There is a short circuit within the device.
- Flash Red (Ten Times): This is generally indicative of a serious internal chip failure or a serious connection issue.
Troubleshooting — Solving Common Problems
Now we'll get into some of the common problems you may run into, and I'll explain how I've been able to resolve them.
Problem #1: No Vapor / Flashing White Light
This is probably the most common problem you'll face. You try to take a puff, and instead of getting vapor, you get three white flashing lights.
Troubleshooting Steps:
- Charge It: The first thing to do is charge the battery for at least 15-20 minutes, and then test it again.
- Remove Pod & Reattach: Remove the pod and reattach it to the battery. Sometimes the magnetic connection isn't strong enough. Listen for a distinct "click".
- Q-Tip Cleaning: This is the step I recommend the most. Get a Q-tip with a minimal amount of isopropyl alcohol (not soaking wet), and clean the gold pins located inside the battery compartment where the pod connects to. Additionally, clean the bottom of the pod. Oil and debris can collect and cause a poor connection. Allow the battery to dry for at least one minute. I've found that cleaning the gold pins solves the majority of these types of problems.
- Temperature Trick: If you're vaping in a cold climate, the oil may be too thick and unable to flow into the atomizer. Try warming the pod by holding it in your hands for a few minutes or, carefully, blowing a low heat hair dryer over it for 10-15 seconds.
- Pencil Eraser Method: A somewhat more advanced method. If the gold pins appear corroded, use a clean pencil eraser to gently rub the gold contacts on the battery and pod. This may help to clean off oxidation that alcohol cannot.
Problem #2: Burnt Taste
If your vapor tastes like a camp fire, you've probably burned the coil.
Unfortunately, once the coil is burned, the taste will never come back. You can attempt to recover a damaged pod by vaping it in short, gentle pulls, and giving it ample time to rest between draws. However, the damage is generally already done. I've had to endure a gram of a burnt pod because I was too proud to throw it away. Prevention is the key: Prime your pods and avoid chain vaping.
Problem #3: Clogged / Gurgling Sounds
Most common with Live Resin Pods or temperature changes.
- The Cause: The oil is leaking into the airflow channel.
- How to Fix: Do not use a paper clip. Paper clips can damage the internal coil. Instead, remove the pod from the battery, lay a tissue across the bottom of the pod, and blow a quick, sharp burst of air into the mouthpiece. You should see a small amount of oil emerge from the bottom of the pod. Wipe it clean. Alternatively, you can attempt to dislodge the clog by taking a deep breath into the mouthpiece (without the battery attached). I find a combination of the two methods works best.
Final Thoughts & Parting Wisdom
The Stiiizy Pro is an excellent product for the price. It’s most attractive feature may be its simplicity; at times that can be both its best attribute and only drawback. For the least amount of trouble you can have with this unit – as well as keep your Stiiizy in working condition for a long time, please follow these simple tips:
- Clean your Stiiizy Pro regularly (and I mean regularly).
- Always prime your Stiiizy pods before use.
- Charge your Stiiizy Pro responsibly – do not let it sit empty or uncharged for extended periods of time.
One of my primary pieces of advice is to purchase only officially sanctioned Stiiizy parts. As many people know there is an enormous black market for fake batteries and pods. These knockoff products are the source of most complaints (Leaks, Failure, Safety Issues) and are also the least expensive way for companies like Stiiizy to create profit from their customers. When purchasing parts for your Stiiizy, make sure you buy from a licensed dispensary and everything should run smoothly, taste good and be consistent.
